Anna University Notification to all autonomous Colleges (affiliated to AU)

Important Notification for all autonomous colleges affiliated to Anna University 

Anna University has insisted to follow certain procedures to all their autonomous institutions for the benefits of the students. We all aware that the each autonomous institutions are following their own schedule to open the colleges, conducting semester examinations. It has been noted that due to different schedule followed by institutions, students are facing various issues such as proceeding with higher education in abroad, confident level of the students are getting affected. Hence it has been decided that, to mitigate these issue, University has decided to follow the below procedures to all their autonomous institutions.

1. All autonomous colleges of this University are directed to open the colleges almost on the same day of the non-autonomous colleges from the academic year 2023-2024.

2. All autonomous colleges are directed to conduct their examinations in the same period of the non-autonomous colleges.

3. All autonomous colleges are directed to conduct the examinations in two standard sessions viz. November/December (for odd semester) and April/May (for even semester) and issue the certification in an uniform manner.

4. It is also directed to start the higher semesters of UG and PG degree programmers on a common date and the first semester of UG and PG on some other common date on par with non-autonomous affiliated colleges.

University has requested to follow the above instructions scrupulously from the academic year 2023-2024 onward.
